The're all sun tanned and blonde bimbos

17

They give bogans a bad name.

we have already had Mardi Gras, we dont need any more Queens in our State.

They think that getting drunk and brawling in the mall is 'paradise'.

They reckon we're no good cos we can't sell out a stadium, when we have 10.

Can't read the news right, even with their glasses. Sonny Bill wants to play for us, not the other way round.

Read about Origin history

The first New South Wales v Queensland clash took place on August 11, 1908 with the blues running out 43-0 winners. The Queenslanders did not start their own competition until 1909 so their team was made up of a small group of ex-rugby union players who had pledged themselves to the 'new game', however they were less than prepared than their opponents and were outclassed.

Souths winger Tommy Anderson's first of four trie was the first recorded in the interstate rugby league - after he had also scored the Rabbitoh's first try in the premiership.

Only the way years interrupted the annual clashes over the next 73 years before the series became a three-match origin affair - and the greatest domestic innovation in Australian sport.

The closeness of the two states has been uncanny as we approach the 27th Origin series between the rival states: the series victories stand at 12 each (with two drawn) while the match tally is Queensland 40, NSW 30 with two draws.

The state jerseys have been largely unchanged since the first interstate clash took place in August 1908 - News South Wales wearing the sky blue and Queenslend the Maroon. NSW's only departure from the plain, one color design was in 1997 when a jersey of sky blue (from chest high) and royal blue was used with. Queensland has had slight variations with the introduction of white bars on the sleeves, across the waist or down the shoulder over the past 20years.

Queensland is chasing its first 'three in a row' series dominance since 1989 when it goes into this year's Harvey Norman State of Origin series against New South Wales in the games's centenary year.

They did invent the word 'redneck'.

I am from QLD but I really hate this state & would love to watch my state get beaten by NSW

They are sooks who carry on about conspiracy theory every year - get over it.

Where else would the worlds freaks go to feel normal if we didnt have QLD.

They let a kiwi, Tony Carrol, into their team so that one of them could teach the others to tackle.

Because the 'mexicans' from down south keep migrating to our beautiful state... don't let them in!

The only thing cane toads are good for is using them as golf balls.

you can always tell a cockroach but you can't tell him much

They kid themselves by having 'The Smart State' on their number plates
