Few things in life are certain but there is a very good chance that if you are born in NSW you don't like Queenslanders and vice versa.
The rivalry between the two States goes back one hundred and forty nine years. Queensland is already preparing for the State's biggest ever celebration in 2009 when the Queenslanders celebrate one hundred and fifty years since they became a State and the border with NSW was drawn.
On the Rugby League field, the rivalry goes back 100 years with the first match played between the two States being held in 1908. Since that day nothing has epitomized the dislike between the two States than Rugby League.
In 1980 when State of Origin was born, that rivalry intensified and Australia's greatest sports rivalry was born.
