The NRL has confirmed the breach notice issued to the Bulldogs for an incident involving Josh Jackson in Round 2 would remain.
Head of Football Todd Greenberg said the Bulldogs had been extremely professional in the way they had dealt with the review process as the NRL came to its final decision.
Mr Greenberg said it was the first season for the new concussion guidelines, which would continue to evolve as both the NRL and clubs became more familiar with them.
“While the breach notice stands, we have been pleased with the way the Bulldogs have assisted in the review process,” Mr Greenberg said.
“Importantly, the club is working with us to identify further ways the NRL could look to strengthen the guidelines as we continue to review the operations of the policy as part of our collective commitment to player welfare.”
He said he would further consult with the club CEOs, chief medical officers, coaches and players as well as the Rugby League Players Association (RLPA) in the coming months to hear their views on the way the policy is working.
